This Privacy Policy explains how mrror collects and uses your personal data when you sign up for pre-registration updates at mrror.io.

We are the data controller for the information described below.

1. What we collect

We collect only your email address when you sign up on this page, along with a record confirming that this email address has passed our eligibility verification check (e.g. that it belongs to the required domain). We do not store any other personal information about you.

2. Why we collect it

We use your email address to:

• Send you occasional updates on our development progress; and
• Notify you when mrror.io launches and invite you to create a profile.

We will not use your email address for any other purpose without asking you first.

3. Our legal basis for processing

We process your email address on the basis of your consent, given when you submit it via the sign-up form. You can withdraw this consent at any time (see Section 7).

4. Who we share it with

We do not sell, rent, or share your email address with any third party for their own purposes.

Your email address is stored with our hosting and infrastructure providers (currently Amazon Web Services, hosted in Ireland), who process it on our behalf strictly to provide storage and infrastructure services, under the terms of their standard data processing agreements. They do not use your data for their own purposes.

5. Where your data is stored

Your email address is stored on servers located in Ireland, within the European Economic Area (EEA). We do not transfer your data outside the EEA.

6. How long we keep it

If you sign up but do not go on to register for a full account when mrror.io launches, we will delete your email address by 31 December of the calendar year in which you signed up, unless you ask us to delete it sooner.

If you do register for a full account, your data will from that point be governed by a separate privacy notice for registered users, which will be provided to you separately at the time of registration and which will set out different retention terms applicable to active accounts.

7. Your rights

Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), you have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Correct inaccurate data
• Erase your data ("right to be forgotten")
• Restrict or object to our processing of your data
• Withdraw your consent at any time, which will stop future emails and result in deletion of your address
• Data portability, where applicable
• Lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority — in Ireland, the Data Protection Commission (DPC)

To exercise any of these rights, email us at info@mrror.io. We will respond within one month, as required by law.

8. Security

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your email address against unauthorised access, loss, or misuse, including access controls and encryption provided by our hosting infrastructure.

9. Cookies

This Site does not use cookies or any similar tracking technologies.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date.
